Cherwell Software Doubles Employee Base and Hires Key ITSM Executives
ITSM Industry Veterans to Support Revenue Growth, Global Channel Expansion, New Office in Germany

By the numbers, Cherwell has doubled its employee base in the last year and will open a second European office in Munich, Germany in early 2015. Three key ITSM executives, with decades of combined expertise and a proven track record of success, have joined Cherwell on the journey to enable IT departments everywhere. Cherwell Software is also honored to win the Growth Company of the Year award from the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance (CSRBA).

New executive hires include ITSM industry veterans:
- Peter Dunlap – Vice President, Global Partners and Alliances
- Gene Sharp – Regional Vice President, Sales, North America East
- Shaun Trejo- Regional Vice President, Sales, North America West
As a team, Dunlap, Sharp and Trejo contribute extensive in-depth ITSM industry knowledge, global sales infrastructure and channel development experience, and several decades of Fortune 1000 software sales expertise to Cherwell. All three will report to Craig Harper.
Peter Dunlap joins Cherwell Software as Vice President, Global Partners and Alliances and will lead global partner programs. Mr. Dunlap built and managed successful partner programs at ServiceNow, BMC Software, and Courion Corporation. Partner recruitment and enablement are an important aspect of Cherwell’s international growth and will complement the opening of a new sales office in Munich, Germany in early 2015.

Gene Sharp joins Cherwell Software as Regional Vice President of Sales for Eastern North America. Mr. Sharp led sales teams at ServiceNow and was Area Vice President, Northeast for BMC Software. Mr. Sharp’s background also includes extensive enterprise software sales experience at Citrix Systems, Mercury Interactive (acquired by Hewlett Packard) and Sybase (acquired by SAP).
Shaun Trejo joins Cherwell Software as Regional Vice President of Sales for Western North America. Mr. Trejo’s ITSM experience is extensive, and he has led sales teams at BMC Software, Peregrine Systems (later acquired by BMC Software), and Remedy Software (later acquired by Peregrine Systems). Most recently, Mr. Trejo was VP of Sales at Unified.
