Jarod Greene Leading Gartner ITSM Analyst Joins Cherwell Software as VP of Product Marketing

Cherwell Software today announced that Jarod Greene joined the company as Vice President of Product Marketing. A Gartner Engagement Specialist and Research Analyst for the past decade, Mr. Greene is widely recognized as an ITSM industry expert and thought leader.
In his new role, Mr. Greene will lead Cherwell Software’s product marketing efforts worldwide by articulating Cherwell’s vision to enable IT teams and to extend business technology. The concept of business enablement is not new, but it has never really been within the reach of IT until now through the innovations of Cherwell mApp mergeable applications (mApp™ solutions), the community-driven Cherwell mApp Exchange and Cherwell Service Management® 5.0. Mr. Greene’s decision to join Cherwell was influenced by the company’s strategic vision and genuine focus on customer success.
“My experience to date has been serving customers by helping them make the right decisions, most notably with respect to understanding the ITSM vendor landscape. Going forward, I want to play a significant role in creating, and communicating the value proposition of a modern ITSM solution,” said Mr. Greene. “I have always appreciated that innovative solutions can serve the needs of customers, but never seriously considered moving out of an industry analyst role. Cherwell, an emerging force in this market, had a need to grow its product marketing capabilities, and I realized that Cherwell’s strong customer focus and vision was a perfect fit for me.”
During his tenure at Gartner, Mr. Greene had responsibility for coverage of IT service management processes, organizational structures, enabling technologies, and emerging adjacent areas such as social media and gamification in ITSM. In 2014, Mr. Greene won Gartner’s Thought Leadership award, given to individuals who have re-thought existing concepts and debunked conventional wisdom as a more viable or powerful alternative to Gartner customers.
