Cherwell Software Employees Give Back to the Community

Care and Share, Interfaith Hospitality Network, TESSA of Colorado SpringsCherwell Software talks often of its culture, and, as one of the new members on the team, I can tell you honestly that the feeling of community, service, and gratitude is strong here. So it came as no surprise to me that during the holidays, our employees turned their focus to ways we can share in our communities.

This holiday season, at our Colorado Springs office, we have turned our hearts to three worthy organizations: Care and Share, Interfaith Hospitality Network, and TESSA of Colorado Springs.

We delivered some of our food donations to Care and Share already, just in time for Thanksgiving. Did you know Care and Share can provide 8 meals for $1.00?

Golden snowflakes and glitter ornaments are hanging from sparkling garland at our offices. Each one represents a gift. Perhaps a gift card for a teenage son, tiny jeans for an infant, or a warm scarf for mom?

Interfaith Hospitality Networks provides shelter to those who are experiencing homelessness. From them, we were given wish lists from families to share with this season. There was a ton of excitement in the room when we got the lists and started making the ornaments (and excitement about going shopping too!)

TESSA provides services to women and children who are escaping situations of family violence. They have a three-day Holiday Shoppe, where safe house residents and survivors can “shop” from the new items received and even wrap their own gifts. Imagine that you had to run from your home in the middle of the night with nothing, but now you can get your child a holiday present?

Giving is a joyful experience. Being part of this with fellow Cherwellians makes it even more special.

We will keep you updated with more about this experience in a future blog. For now, tell us in the comment section below what ways you give during the holidays.
