IT-Legends-LogoThe film industry has the Oscars. The music industry has the Grammys. The PGA has the Masters. And ITSM has IT Industry Legends…

The IT Industry Legend award celebrates luminaries in the IT service management (ITSM) industry who are not only experts but expert mentors—teachers who inspire us, guide us, and evolve us toward possibilities we might not have dreamt possible. An IT Industry Legend provides a framework for exploration, risk, and growth underpinned by trust and encouragement. Their hard-won wisdom, passed on to the next generation of service management professionals, advances the entire industry.

In 2014, Cherwell Software sponsored the first IT Legends reception, during the 2014 HDI Annual Conference, and recognized three, inaugural individuals for their commitment to the Industry. These individuals, Ron Muns, Malcolm Fry, and Jim Bolton, were inducted into this hall of fame.

In December 2014, these legends and Cherwell began discussing inductee candidates for 2015. It was agreed, due to their unique achievements and other obvious reasons, that John Custy and Julie Mohr, would join this ITSM hall of fame.

Vance Brown, Cherwell Software CEO, in addition to Ron, Malcolm and Jim, introduced the IT Legends program, introduced John and Julie and formally recognized their achievements. Both inductee were presented with a glass award and an embroidered blazer for them to wear proudly.
