Hello all, I know there's no User API operation to retrieve the Users on a particular team, but I assume there should be another way to retrieve that information? I've tried to query the teaminfo business object but the value comes back empty, so maybe that's not possible or I sent the query wrong. Anybody have any ideas I can try out? Thanks,
Are you hosted? If you are on-prem you could create a view inside Cherwell using Database Server Objects Manager. Here is the query that you could use to create the view
CREATE VIEW [dbo].[Vw_TeamMembers]ASSELECT A.RecID as TeamMemberRecID, B.RecID as UserInfoRecID, C.Name as TeamName,B.FullName as UserFullName,C.TeamID as TeamID,A.LastModDateTime as UserLastModDateTime, A.LastModBy as UserLastModBy, A.LastModByID as UserLastModByIDFROM dbo.TrebuchetTeamMember AJOIN dbo.UserInfo B ON A.UserBusObRecID = B.RecIDJOIN dbo.TeamInfo C ON A.TeamDefID = C.TeamID
Once you have the view, create an external business object which imports data from this view. It is preferred that the external business object is created as read only. You will be able to create forms, searches dashboards to display this data on the rich client, if that is your goal.
I think Cherwell support could create this for you if you are hosted.
We are hosted, but we have had other views created by Cherwell for us, so this should do the trick. Thank you for including the SQL with it, I'm not too savvy with that yet.
You can create a view in a blueprint via Managers - Database Service Objects - New
Jason - another possible way to do this from within the application is to apply this mApp:
It creates a table view from within Cherwell that you can use and search.
This looks interesting as well. I've already sent in the SQL view creation to Cherwell, but I'll keep this in mind if I run into issue. Thanks!
