Web Client and Portal performance is too slow due to IIS Worker Process occupied high memory.(Server is having 8GB RAM)Please suggest me how can i increase the performance.
How much memory is the worker process using?
^ I'd recommend having the app pool restart regularly (once per day?) just in case of a memory leak
Thanks for your response
IIS Worker process is consuming almost 60% memory. It keep on increasing when portal or webclient login increased.
Is it ok to restart the app pool regularly??
It's okay to regularly restart but it will clear browser / portal users' sessions, meaning they'll have to sign in again if they were currently logged in. I would avoid doing this during the day with the browser client (but dont worry about portal), as it may disrupt your actual Cherwell technicians that are working in the browser, which could be an issue if you have service desk staff entering tickets while answering phones.
How many users are signing into the browser / portal and what's the memory usage of the worker process, in MB or GB?
Only 7 to 8 users are logging into browser client .IIS worker process consuming around 2GB of memory
We had this issue, it was related to our logging level. Once we decreased it, performance increased.
