I saw posts from a while back and I am wondering if it is possible to do it now. I see that no one really had any luck doing it.
So I assume opening a link from the front page portal without being logged in is still not possible
If there is a workaround any help appreciated. Thanks
And also, is that the only way to open an external webpage by creating a one step?
The work around I had for this, as I was assured over and over outside of setting it up in HTML instead of the standard portal, was place it on the top bar.
If you go to Site Manager, and edit your site, the Properties menu has the top menu. I have a password reset link there for users to reset their Active Direct account through a page action.
This is the default, but in this menu specifically.
As Wayne mentioned, you can place it in the menu bar (or have a folder with multiple sites in the menu bar). The other option would be to use a command palette, as the commands can launch a URL, but you can't control the appearance of a command palette, so I usually avoid them.
Thanks, I didnt get a chance to test this until now. It worked like I wanted it to. I guess we just cant do it anywhere on the portal just the top menu bar which is fine.
Thanks for your feedback John!
