We added a new monitor to an existing E-mail Event Monitor and it worked. Then we decided to separate it because this one belong to another business object. Thinking why re import everything when this one runs against another business object.
So now we have two E-mail Event Monitor, but the new one does not work.
So can you have two E-mail Event Monitor's?
If you have two email event monitors running against two different email accounts, no problem.
However, if an email event monitor is running against an account, it marks the emails processed or read as it works through them. If you have a second monitor running against the same account, it will not re-process emails the first monitor did not process (they have been marked as read or deleted or....). The second process could also cause the first process to not process emails for the objects you have configured it for.
[Edit: note Doug's comment below regarding IMAP options]
Thanks for you answer, We will create and another email account.
It's important to note with IMAP email monitors, where you can monitor an individual folder, you can technically use the same account with multiple monitors as long as they monitor different folders (At that point you can then use outlook rules to separate incoming emails into different folders)
So we could create two folders. User rules to move emails based on rules to either folder and then allow the event monitors to run on the appropriate folder? Thanks I appreciate the insight.
