External data connection to Azure SQL Server

We're SAAS, using TA.  Attempting to connect Cherwell 9.6.2 to Azure SQL Server (fully patched), initially with an attempt to pull over SCCM CMDB data.  Wondering if others have had success with this.

Right now I'm running into this error, via my Trusted Agent server log file.  I'm unable to proceed past the username/password when setting up the connection.  I've confirmed I can log into the server with the account via ssms.
