Set up an new installation of CSM 9.4a and tried to import Customers from our AD.
I got two problems that are related here.
When trying to import users I get this message:
And when opening Contact manager and trying to add customers manually I get this error in Contact manager:
Funny part is that when removing 9.4a and downgrading to 9.3.2 Everything works fine.....
Just a wild guess that the TypeName being set by the database attribute doesn't match the validation table values. Check that the CustomerTypeName field has the TypeName attribute.
Then check that same fields validation and odds are that it is now looking at a validation table for the various languages. My guess is that your current culture typename doesn't match the lookup table values in some way.
At least that is where I would start looking.

Hi Scott, will look at that tomorrow when working again. Strange thing is that this is outofthebox and no changes has been done. It is a vanillia install. with 9.4a

Yes, I deleted the AD import then opening contact manager worked again.
Just added the import again but this time with the CSDAdmin account and eveything worked.
Cant what solved it if it was my rights in CSM or some setting that was wrong in importing AD users. But all the test worked in setting upp the AD connection but I still got an error importing
