We have an issue whereby one of our customers are unable to prepare a mApp that they are creating for distribution within there UAT environment to deploy onto their Prod instance (Minor changes that they wanted to apply within one of their Business Objects). They originally reported the issue except she was unable to take any actions at all when selecting the Create a mApp option from within the Admin Client.
We had her remove the <mergeinstlist> from within the BusinessObjectDef (Customer - Internal) in the Definition Editor and they were able to begin Loading the mApp but when they select Prepare mApp for Distribution, the following error message appears
Has anyone seen this issue before? They are currently running on version 8.1.2.
**Backup your system before making changes in the def editor. Making a mistake here can obliterate literal days or weeks of work, and could even render parts of your system unstable / un-usable.*
Choose 'BusinessObjectDef' under the 'Definition Type' dropdown.
In the Definition dropdown, select the name of your Business Object (you'll have to perform the next steps on any business objects affected, **per view in the View dropdown if they're in multiple views**) Copy *all* of this text into a NotePad file as a backup, in case you need to restore it. Find the following text and remove it: <MAppCreationHistoryList Key=""> <MAppCreationHistory ID="" Version="1.0" SubType="" Scope="Core" Culture="Invariant" View="(None)" Disabled="FALSE"> <LastModBy></LastModBy> <LastModDateTime></LastModDateTime> <Alias /> <Description /> <mAppName></mAppName> <DateTime></DateTime> <Designer></Designer> </MAppCreationHistory> </MAppCreationHistoryList> Do not modify, delete, edit etc any other text on the definition, and click Save. Open the 'Definitions' dropdown, and press 'invalidate definition catalog'. Close and re-open your Administrative tool, and try distributing your mapp file again.
