In my incident BO, I have both a Command Action and Command Name fields, that I populate based on my subcategory.
When I try to run the one-step (using run another one-step, global scope and referring to me Command Name field, it keeps telling me it can't find the one-step).
Any idea why?
Can you post a screenshot of your one-step where it is executing the action?
I can't but you won't see much.
I tried to make it as simple as possible to troubleshoot it.
Step 1. Fill the Command Action field using the Allowed Values command. The Command Name field auto-populates correctly.
Step 2. Run another one-step referring to my Command Name field, global Scope.
All is done within the Incident BO.
Let me know if you need more info.
It appears you are running a one-step this way:
Is that correct? Just making sure as the other way is like this:
You are indeed correct Dave.
It works fine using Run Command instead of Run another one-step.
What's weird is that I have it working in another BO since several months and never had an issue with it, which is why I didn't understand why it wouldn't work this time.
But your method works perfectly.
Thanks again Dave!
What's the scope of your one-step? Does it match the scope of your 'Run A OneStep' action?
Notable difference between commands is Run A One-Step action limits scope based on configuration in your calling one-step.
