We are creating a new security group. When displaying a prompt for incident short description it won't display any data if I use the simple text box, values in a combo or simple list. It does display results for Auto and Grid. The prompt works for our other existing security groups. Does anybody have an idea on what the security group setting might be that would affect display options on a prompt?
How is the prompt being called? Is it part of a One-Step? If so, you can change the security group that the One-Step uses. I created a specific Security group just for One-Steps; that way a user might be restricted from taking an action; but if they call a One-Step that needs to be able to update a hidden field (for example), the One-Step can.
Thought that might be a good work around but the prompt within the one-step still doesn't show the field information.
In your security group go to Rights, Default Right and try checking the Allow/View boxes.
The Allow,View,Add,Edit are all checked on the default right.
I remember seeing an Excel file some time ago that Cherwell provided to document security groups. It was all manually done but I might be able to use that to track it down. Does anybody have that?
