I am looking for a way for a client to be able to accept delivery of a service or product by signing on an iPad and storing the signature in a rich text field.
Any suggestion will be appreciated
We are currently beginning work on attempting integration with Cosign, which is an e-signature appliance, as part of a larger paperless initiative. Before we purchased Cosign, we were trying to think of a good way to do something similar to what you are trying to do. The two options we came up with, but never attempted to implement, were:
The first option would have been much easier to implement, but the customer would have needed to have an e-sig created and stored on a server to be able to sign with a PIN. Lucky for me we decided to go with Cosign, so neither idea got past the idea stage.
Please keep us posted with your progress as e-signatures are something more and more orgs are moving towards.
Here is what we are doing currently on the Incident object with a specifics form, and leveraging a Microsoft Surface running the fat client - until this is native functionality within Cherwell.

If one wants to delete the generated temp rtf file after, use "Run A Program" to call a batch file to remove it after it is attached to the incident record.
