Closing Ticket and All Tasks

    Hello everyone:
      I'm a new Cherwell Admin and I'm looking to make my life easier while we do our transition.  How do I close all the tasks for an incident and then close the incident using a one-step?

    Hi Brandon - We'll probably need a bit more to make sure we're giving you the best advice for your situation.  Can you share what version you are currently on and you mentioned a transition?  Have you recently implemented?

    No problem.  10.0.0.

    We recently implemented it (rolled it out about a month ago) and we're slowly transitioning the rest of the people who used the old system we had to Cherwell.  There are some incidents were we are finding it would be nice to have a one-step to close all existing tasks and would like to know how to do something like that.

    You can build a one-step that steps through the child tasks that are not closed and closes them.
    The One-step calls a Step through children action, with a filter to only retrieve tasks where the current status is not "Closed".

    For each child task returned, the Step-through-children detailed steps execute an Update Business Object action to close the task:
