Cherwell Software Adds Data Center in Brisbane, Australia

January 18, 2013 - Colorado Springs, Colo. – Cherwell Software today announced that it is opening a new data center in Brisbane, Australia. This data center, the company’s first in Australia, is Cherwell Software’s fifth data center. This strategic decision will help the company accelerate its position in hosting businesses in Australia and New Zealand as well as improve the level of services customers in region receive. Its other data centers are located in Denver, Colorado; Ashburn, Virginia; Dallas, Texas; and London, U.K.

“We will continually invest in growing our infrastructure to sustain our record-breaking growth and to better support our customers year after year,” said Vance Brown. “This new data center will help our Australian and New Zealand customers focus on their core business instead of managing for sluggish systems or worrying about sending large amounts of data half way around the world.”

Cherwell Service Management™, the company’s flagship IT service management product, can be hosted on site, at a Cherwell Software data center, or at a third party data center. This new data center allows Australian customers to take advantage of the company’s hosted option while retaining all information in country, which many organizations find reassuring. “We want to deliver fast, efficient services to all of our customers, regardless of geographic location,” said Joshua Haynes, IT manager at Cherwell Software. “This data center will give our Australia customers fast access to SaaS, even during peak traffic, and around-the-clock monitoring for superior responsiveness and security.”

The new facility, tested from September 2012 – January 2013, is intended to provide faster service as well as peace of mind to customers in the area.
